GPD2 Equatorial Mount is produced as a result of the remarkable improvement in “precision, intensity,
durability, and stability” by changing the material and improving the design of GP2 Equatorial Mount without
losing its ease of use. Able to hold the maximum weight of 10kg, it is provided with a built-in polar axis
scope and offers a full range of specs for serious astronomical observation.
The flexible design allows you to upgrade the version in the future. It is a recommended model for the people
considering astronomy as a lifetime hobby.
SBS series attached to the controller with celestial navigation function, "STAR
BOOK-TypeS,"are also new releases.
Features of GPD2 Equatorial Mount
1. North Celestial Pole Go-To Scale Attached
North Star can be pointed at by matching the date and time on the scale.
The precision of the setting within 3 min. angle can be obtained by using the polar axis scope.
2. Polar Axis Scope for North/South as a Standard Attachment
6x20mm, Field of View 8 degrees, the scale for polar axis adjustment and the ring to adjust magnification attached. An illuminating equipment attached. It lets you see the scales clearly in the dark. The polar axis can be easily adjusted on the equatorial mount. Can be used for the Southern Hemisphere.
3. The Built-In Illumination for Brightening Around the Polar Axis
The scales are highlighted by the illumination.

STAR BOOK-TypeS
GP2 Equatorial Mount Celestial Navigation System Built-in
The celestial navigation system STAR BOOK -TypeS is available as an attachment to GPD2- ED81S-SBS. STAR BOOK-TypeS controls the equatorial mount by a simple button operation. Automatic go-to system is available just by selecting a celestial object on the LCD screen. Many additional navigation functions such as celestial auto guiding and constellation commentary system are also available.
※STAR BOOK-TypeS can be installed on a GP2 equatorial mount as a separately sold optional part.

1. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) Screen
2.6-inch monochromatic liquid crystal. 160×160 dots.
2. Easy Button Operation
Operate the buttons as if playing a game. The function of each button will be displayed on the LCD screen.
3. Telescope Operation Linked to the Screen
In the mode for changing the telescope’s direction, zooming function in and out of the star map controlled by the left button will be linked to the motor speed of equatorial mount.
4. Built-in Speakers
The completion of go-to system will be notified by sound.
5. External Connection Terminal
An upgrade to the latest version through the network is always available by using the LAN connection terminal.
6. Availability for Use as a Standalone Unit
You can use it as a standalone unit with batteries. Also can be used as a handy planisphere.
7. Available in 6 Languages
Displays in Japanese, English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish are available.
